Joe Shannon is a Licensed Real Estate and Business Agent, industry consultant, and vocational education trainer, helping agency leaders restructure, scale, and build high-performing real estate teams. As Founder of The Efficiency Co, he and his team provide consulting, coaching, and operational support to agencies across residential & commercial real estate, and strata management.
Starting in 2013 as a property manager, Joe quickly moved into sales, operational leadership, and agency management. As Head of PM Systems Development for one of WA’s largest property groups, he led the transformation of eight offices, overseeing 3,000+ properties through technology upgrades and training programs that reshaped agency operations. His firsthand experience in agency leadership, compliance, and industry training led him to establish The Efficiency Co. in 2021.
After years of delivering nationally accredited real estate training, Joe launched his Fractional GM service, providing agencies with executive-level leadership without the overhead of a full-time GM – helping business owners scale while maintaining control and work-life balance. His team has since expanded to deliver consulting, training, and coaching plans across all facets of the real estate industry.
In the past 12 months, Joe has played a key role in new agency launches, ownership transitions, and rent roll acquisitions, alongside ongoing leadership and team development. In 2024 alone, he partnered with multiple agencies managing a combined portfolio of 15,000+ properties, including some of WA’s largest and most prestigious teams. His Agency Maximiser Plan delivers monthly workshops and 1:1 coaching for teams alongside productive debrief meetings for business owners, ensuring agencies have the strategy, structure, and skills to scale sustainably.
A keynote speaker at real estate conferences across Australia, Joe delivers practical insights on leadership, business growth, and agency culture. His mission is simple: to help agency leaders take control, build thriving teams, and create a sustainable path to success.
